The chapter “New Home” begins with Kara’s arrival at Todd’s house. After the introductory cutscene, get out of the car and follow Todd inside. A short video will introduce you to Todd and Alice, after which Kara will be asked to tidy up the house—take out the trash and wash the dishes.
Tip: Hold down R2 to activate scanning—it will highlight all available interaction points on the current floor.
Cleaning the first floor
Start in the kitchen: pick up the trash can on the left, then collect all the trash from the nearest counter. Similarly, remove the trash from the coffee table by the TV and the kitchen table. After the cutscene, pick up the trash bags, take them out through the front door, and throw them in the container by the road.
When you return to the house, go to the back door next to the kitchen and exit into the yard. At this point, you can report to Todd about the work you have done, but it is better to take on an additional task—doing the laundry.
Laundry and meeting with Alice
In the courtyard, go to the laundry basket, pick it up, and interact with the hanging laundry. Behind Kara, Alice will appear on a small staircase—talk to her, choosing from the available topics. This will increase the girl’s trust level.
When Alice leaves, go up the stairs and through the door on the right to the washing machine. Put down the basket and follow all the prompts that appear. When Kara tries to take the detergent, she will find a bag of “red ice.” Todd will burst in, grab Kara by the arm, and leave.
Dishes, beer, and a vacuum cleaner
After the cut scene, return to the kitchen sink and start washing the dishes. The dishwasher in the house does not work — when interacting with it, Kara will only order a replacement part, and that’s it. Dirty plates from the living room table must be taken to the sink and washed by hand, following the on-screen prompts. There is also a magazine on the dining table — you can examine it.
After a while, Todd will ask you to bring him a beer. Open the refrigerator, take a bottle, and bring it to Todd in the living room. There is a vacuum cleaner on the floor to the left of the TV—turn it on to complete all the additional tasks on the first floor. After that, go to Todd and report that the work is done.
Cleaning the second floor
Todd will send Kara upstairs. Go up the stairs at the front of the house. The layout of the second floor is as follows:

Start with the bathroom at the end of the hallway on the left. Interact with all the objects — Kara will wash the floor, put things in their places, and tidy up the room.
Todd’s Room
Go to Todd’s room. There are some items on the shelf to the right of the entrance — pick them up and note the magazine nearby. Make the bed, pick up the guitar from the floor, and other scattered items.
Go to the window and open it — this will unlock an additional option in the future chapter “Stormy Night.”
On the table on the right side of the bed, you will find a bottle of pills. Kara will put it in a drawer, where you will also see a gun — another option for the chapter “Stormy Night.“
Second bathroom
When leaving the room, Todd will bump into Kara in the hallway and give her a new task—to clean the bathroom he just used. Clean the bathroom and watch a short scene.
Alice’s Room
Go to the end of the corridor and enter Alice’s room. The girl will hide in her tent. There is a book called Alice in Wonderland on the floor — examine it to increase her trust. Make the bed and open the window — another additional option for Stormy Night.
Go to the tent and talk to Alice. Choose friendly responses:
Please enter your name
Ask about her interests
Ask why she is silent
Each of these responses builds trust. Alice will stand up and give Kara the key before leaving. Use it on the box on the dresser to trigger a cutscene in which Kara examines its contents.
Important! If you haven’t completed all the additional tasks before going down to the first floor, you won’t be able to go back and finish them. The chapter ends immediately after you go downstairs.
At the bottom, the final cut scene of Todd’s conversation with Alice will play, after which the chapter will end.
