In this chapter, you take control of Connor. Your task is to find Lieutenant Hank Anderson, examine the crime scene with him, and track down the deviant.
Searching for Hank in the bar
After the chapter begins, click on the hint to enter the bar. A short scene will play, and then you will need to find Lieutenant Hank Anderson among the patrons.
Hold down R2 to activate scan mode and check the faces of the people in the establishment. Hank is sitting at the bar—he is an elderly man with his head down, second from the right of the bartender. You can scan the other patrons as well, but this will not yield any useful information—no one will point Hank out to you.
Approach the lieutenant and talk to him. After a short dialogue, you will be faced with a choice: to gain Hank’s trust, buy him another drink — this will increase his trust level. Next, both characters will go to the crime scene.
Inspection of the crime scene
Upon arrival, exit the vehicle and follow Hank to the house. At the entrance, a police officer will attempt to prevent Connor from entering, but Hank will allow him to proceed. Inside, listen to the conversation, then proceed to examine the evidence in detail—there are 10 pieces of evidence in the house.
Main room
In the first part of the house, study the following:
Evidence
Action
Red ice
Examine the items on the side of the room
Weapon on the floor
Analyze
Blood on the weapon
Take a sample
Dried blood on the floor and walls
Scan
Paradise Club cards
Examine next to other items
Kitchen
Move to the adjacent kitchen. Here, you need to scan another dried bloodstain, analyze the fingerprints on the broken chair, and examine the baseball bat on the floor. After analyzing the bat, a reconstruction of events will begin—move the timeline to find key points and recreate what happened.
Bathroom
Go to the back of the house and interact with the shower curtain. Behind it, you will find obsessive inscriptions and a small statuette — these discoveries will open up additional dialogue branches in the future.
The backyard and the victim’s body
Open the back door next to the kitchen and look outside. Look down and scan the ground — a short scene will follow, giving you another clue.
Return inside to the victim’s body on the floor. Scan the blood inscription on the wall, then the body itself. Scanning the wounds activates another reconstruction: move the scale to the yellow area and scan the bottles, then the victim, then the victim again after moving the scale.
Reconstruction of the crime scene
Once you have gathered all the evidence, return to Hank and talk to him. You need to construct the correct chain of events. Choose the options strictly in this order:
“In the kitchen”
“Beaten”
“The android stabbed the victim with a knife.”
“In the living room”
“With a knife”
After talking with Hank, Connor has to track down the deviant using the blue blood trail.
Search for deviant
Activate the scan via R2 and follow the drops of blue blood to the back of the house, to the bathroom. Pay attention to the place where the stairs used to be — examine it and look up at the ceiling to find the hatch to the attic.
Note: there is a curtain hanging in front of the hatch — you can pull it aside, but it’s just a cheap screamer with falling objects and does not affect the passage.
Go to the kitchen, grab a chair, and bring it to the attic hatch. Climb up and open the passage. In the attic, move forward, pressing the prompts that appear, and follow the blue bloodstains on the floor with R2.
Deep in the attic, an unexpected encounter with a deviant awaits you. After a brief dialogue, the chapter ends.
