After selecting “New Game” and watching the introductory video, you will find yourself on a chest in a dark corner of a mysterious place called the Belly. Hold down the run button and move right along the dark corridor, activating your lighter to illuminate the path. At the end of the dead end, you will find a lantern — approach it to light it and progress towards obtaining the “Let There Be Light” trophy. To the right of the lantern is a hatch: grab it and pull it towards you to open it, then crawl through the ventilation shaft.

The bedroom and the first figurine

At the exit of the ventilation shaft, climb the stairs to the right. In a small niche, you will find a Statue [01/10] — pick it up and smash it by throwing it on the floor.

Continue to the right, crawl under the boarded-up doorway, and you will find yourself in the bedroom. Climb onto the box by the bed to reach the mattress. Be sure to jump on it several times — this will unlock the “Springy” trophy. Then jump to the opening on the right, grab the ledge, and pull yourself up.

In the next room, there is a chair under the hanged man. Drag it to the doorway, climb up, and grab the door handle to open the door.

Move right along the dark corridor to the refrigerator. Open it—a small creature will run out. Continue to the right and crawl through the narrow passage, where you will find another lantern and a Gnome [01/13]. To get the “Lost Babies” trophy, you need to find all 13 gnomes in the game and hug each one by approaching them and pressing the corresponding button. After that, go back to the refrigerator, climb up the shelves and run to the right, jumping over the gaps and avoiding the slugs.

Lever, floor collapse, and lift

In the next room, pull the lever above the box to open the door on the right. Jump over the gap and enter the room behind it. At first glance, it seems like a dead end, but you can pull off one of the boards on the right wall and continue on.

When you enter the next area, the floor will collapse and you will find yourself in a tar-like substance. Don’t linger — this place is full of slugs. Quickly move to the right, push the wooden door, jump over the gap, and light the lantern nearby. Next, you will have to climb up:

Behind the door, open the hatch on the back wall to release the gnome, then follow him through the opening in the right wall. The camera will show one of the prison guards, but for now, just climb up the makeshift rope on the right.

Bathroom and playroom

Once in the bathroom, light the lantern in the corner. Push the door to enter the main part of the bathroom, then close it—you will find a lever behind it. Drag the toilet paper box under the lever, climb up and pull it—the electricity in the area will be turned off. While the power is out, squeeze through the grate on the right into the game room. Continue running to the right and slip through another grate before the power comes back on and the grates become dangerous again. Then move right past the prison cells.

The Room with the Eye

The room with the cameras is guarded by a huge eye. Take cover behind the pillar and boxes to the left of the petrified children—the eye’s gaze turns you to stone.

Tip: The easiest way to avoid the eye is to run to the back of the room, toward the cell doors, and cross the room along the back wall, moving to the right. When the eye turns away, sprint forward and to the right.

Pass the eye, climb onto the single metal box, and light the lantern on the left. Climb up the metal mesh to the upper floor, but don’t explore it yet — walk across the stack of boxes to the right and jump from the right edge to another stack. Crawl through the mesh box in the right wall — behind it is a storage room with a lantern and a Gnome [02/13].

Return to the previous room, climb down to the floor, and climb up the boxes to the second floor again. Go left above the eye and enter the open chamber with drawings on the walls. In the front right corner lies a Statue [02/10] — pick it up and break it.

Return to the right and leave the prison block, entering the bedroom. Immediately hide under the bed on the right and wait for the guard to enter and leave to the left. When the coast is clear, move right into the storage room, climb over the mesh boxes, jump onto the shelves, and climb into the ventilation shaft.

Hunger and the shower room

After crawling through the ventilation shaft and jumping into the next room, the heroine will start to feel uncontrollable hunger—she’ll be doubled over in pain. Keep going to the right and pick up the food that the NPC will throw through the grate.

Once you’ve satisfied your hunger, climb up the crates on the right, crawl through the gap in the metal bars, and go through the shower room to the right to the bridge with the electrified grate on the other side. Climb onto the box by the passage and follow the path into the screen. Next, climb up the mesh boxes, and when you can’t climb any higher, jump back onto the solid boxes and continue climbing the mesh to the platform with the lantern.

Mechanism with chain

Wait until the boxes on the chain swing toward you, then jump onto them. Grab the chain and climb up. At the top, jump back onto the ledge and climb up the mesh boxes on the right. There is a lever on the back wall—pull it to raise the chain.

When the boxes are at the top, move the floor switch to the right to bring the boxes closer. Then return the switch to the left and immediately run and jump onto the boxes before they move too far away. If you do this successfully, you will ride them to the other side of the room—climb the chain to the new section.

The filing cabinet and the third gnome

To access the power cut-off lever, use the pull-out drawers of the filing cabinet:

  1. Pull out the bottom left drawer completely and stand on it.
  2. Pull out the next drawer halfway.
  3. Climb up and jump onto the top of the cabinet.
  4. Jump and grab the lever — the electricity will be turned off.

Crawl through the grate, light the lantern on the left, and free the gnome from the cage. Crawl back through the grate—Gnome [03/13] is waiting for you to the left of the filing cabinets. Hug him.

Descent on a loop and a second eye

Return to where you freed the gnome and push the box on the rope into the hole in the floor. This will raise the loop—jump on it and descend to the lower level. Run right through the shower room, which is now swarming with slugs, cross the bridge, and squeeze through the de-energized grate.

Ahead is another room with a watching eye. Use the same tactic: run deep into the room and pass under the eye along the back wall. On the other side, make sure the eye is looking as far left as possible before running to the exit—otherwise, it will catch you when it turns right.

Go down the steps and run across the sliding bridge, jumping over the gap. On the other side, climb onto the crate and wait until the bridge slides far enough for the crate to reach the nearest ledge. Jump onto solid ground and continue moving to the right — the chapter is complete.
