Chapter 25: Capitol Park

Start of the mission and route to the store

The chapter opens with a cutscene in Jericho, where an important conversation takes place between the characters. After that, control passes to Marcus, who finds himself underground. Interact with the manhole cover to get to the surface.

North will show you the way—follow her to the shopping center where the CyberLife store is located. You will cross the street and run with her to the desired location.

Seizure of park area

Initial preparation

Your task is to secure the area within a limited time. Activate scan mode and survey the surroundings. Every android you spot can be recruited to your movement — approach them and use the appropriate command. This is critical for the further events of the chapter, so convert all the androids you encounter.

Deactivation of the security system

Approach the storefront and analyze it. You need to scan the interior, paying particular attention to the surveillance camera and security system. The scan will reveal a power line running along the ground outside.

Follow this route to the open section of the sidewalk. There you will find two androids busy repairing the power line. Connect them both to the movement, then sit down by the line and follow all the commands that appear to disable the security system.

Neutralization of patrol drone

A drone will enter the patrol zone. When the choice of actions appears, select “Hide in the corner” — the device will fly over you without noticing.

Once the drone has left and you have emerged from cover, move to the central part of the park. Scan the flying device and use the R2 button to track its flight path by looking up.

Study the drone’s route timeline and determine the optimal point for interception. The most effective location is near the scaffolding to the left of the CyberLife store (closer to the end of the trajectory on the timeline).

Take up your position and wait for the drone to approach the selected area. The system will suggest several route options to the top of the forest — choose the appropriate one and execute the plan by shooting down the drone.

Road closure

After eliminating the drone, switch to blocking traffic. There are trucks with androids nearby on the side of the road—convert them. Then head to the end of the road, where there is a road sign with additional androids. Connect them and activate the commands to knock the sign onto the roadway. North will change the information on the sign’s display, completing the blockade.

Find a closed gate nearby and jump over it with North.

Breaking into the store

On the other side of the gate is a truck—unlock it. North will find a pair of bolt cutters that can be used to cut the lock and open the gate completely. Get into the truck’s cab and press the control buttons (you don’t need to intervene in the direction of travel). Marcus will ram the entrance door of the CyberLife store.

Liberation of androids in the store

Once inside, start connecting all the androids displayed in the showcases throughout the sales floor. Go around each showcase and activate all the androids you find.

During the process, you will come across a model that resembles North — you can examine it in more detail. North will stare intently at this android. A brief dialogue will ensue, which will unlock an option that will influence subsequent events.

After all the androids have awakened, move to the center of the room and activate the speech command. Marcus will deliver a speech to the assembled crowd.

Demonstration for people

Upon leaving the store, Marcus will receive a new objective: to send a message to humanity by establishing complete control over the territory. Here, you will have to make a critical choice that will determine the development of the plot.

Peaceful protest (for a “happy” ending)

There are two approaches: aggressive (property destruction and chaos) or peaceful demonstration. For the best ending, choose peaceful actions. Each of your decisions is tracked and displayed on the screen.

Recommended actions:

Apply symbols to the walls of buildings — you can choose any design you like and mark all available surfaces. (Note: although the effect of the symbol type on the outcome has not been confirmed, it is recommended to choose an image resembling a peace sign).

Hack screens and bus stops in the area, forcing them to broadcast your messages. Continue to interact with all available objects, including park benches.

CRITICAL: Avoid breaking windows and damaging stores on the opposite side of the street. Any acts of vandalism will increase the perception of violence rather than peaceful demonstration.

Trucks in the area can be turned on their sides (turned on their sides, not overturned!) to create additional barricades — this will reinforce the effect of peaceful protest.

Banner placement

The final and most visible message is the banner on the building. Approach the wall column next to the store where the androids are displayed and begin your ascent. Follow all the commands that appear to climb to the top. Use North to place the banner in a prominent place.

Once you go back down, you’ll see a short cutscene, after which you’ll need to run down the street to the crowd of androids.

Final decision

You will find North mourning the loss of an android that looked like her (the one you examined in the CyberLife store). Approach the group of androids—among them are two officers being held by force.

You will be faced with a choice: execute the police officers or spare their lives. To achieve a positive ending, choose the option to spare them. A cutscene will follow, showing the consequences of your decision until the end of the chapter.
