Freedom March — Detroit: Become Human Walkthrough
Start of chapter: inspection and conversation with North
Control passes to Marcus. Before moving on with the story, take some time to explore your surroundings. There is a magazine on the ground to the left—pick it up. There is a piano to the right: approach it, and Marcus will play a melody similar to the one you chose in the “Artist” chapter. You can also approach the metal ledge facing the sun and examine it.

Even if you don’t inspect anything, North will approach you after a while and start a dialogue.
Dialogue with North: optimal choices
The conversation with North is multi-stage, and the development of the relationship depends on your responses. Follow this pattern:
| A moment of dialogue | Recommended choice |
|---|---|
| North asks why you are alone | THINK |
| Next choice (if you have high support from Jericho) | FOLLOWERS (only available with sufficient support) |
| Another choice in conversation | TRUTH — Marcus will open up to North |
| Leave or continue the conversation | Don’t leave — continue the conversation |
| Question about North’s past | Ask about another North (available if you examined the android copy of North in the “Capitol Park” chapter) |
| Final choice in the conversation | TRUST |
After selecting “Trust,” you will have the opportunity to establish a connection with North — do so. Your relationship with North will improve, and a cutscene will start.

The Return of Simon

After the cutscene ends, another one will begin, depending on your previous decisions. Simon will return to Jericho if you did not go up to the roof with Connor in the chapter “Enemy of Society.” After this scene, Marcus and the group will find themselves in a shopping mall in Detroit.
Androids in a shopping mall

Your task is to convert all the androids in the area to your side. Use R2 to scan the area and approach each marked android by pressing the conversion button. The more androids you convert, the better.

Important: even when the game prompts you to go outside, don’t rush — first make sure you’ve taken out absolutely all the androids inside the building.
On the streets of Detroit
Once outside, continue turning the androids along the street. Before blocking the road, go around all sides — the androids are standing on both sides and along the roadway. One of the converted androids will get into a conflict with its owner. It is not necessary to intervene: if you do nothing, the person will leave on their own, and the android will join you.

Next, turn the technical androids near you—they will move their truck to block the street. While the truck is moving, scan the area with R2 and convert the remaining androids. When all the androids in the area have been converted, go behind the truck and open the hatch cover — press the buttons as prompted to lift it and bring additional androids to the surface.

March: appeals from a distance and slogans

Marcus will lead the march. While moving, you can turn androids around from a distance — look around and press buttons to attract everyone: those who are standing far away and those who are behind glass. This will increase the scale of the march.

After a while, a police officer will block your path. You will be offered two options:

| Option | Result |
|---|---|
| Raise your hands ✅ | The whole group repeats the gesture — a spectacular and peaceful scene |
| Advance | The police officer reacts in the same way, but the scene is less expressive |
Select “Raise your hands.”
After that, continue moving. The game will offer slogans and chants for the group. Choose options related to equal rights, freedom, and “we are human beings,” as well as variations on these themes. This emphasizes the peaceful nature of the march.
Confrontation with special forces: the final choice

Soon, special forces will block the path. After a short dialogue, you will be given three options:

First choice

| Option | Consequences |
|---|---|
| Stand your ground ✅ | Special forces will open fire. Simon’s trust will drop slightly, but public opinion will grow with each volley |
| Disperse | Marcus and the androids scatter. Relations with North and Jericho deteriorate. Worst option |
| Attack | Jericho goes on the attack; several random androids will die. Complete the QTE — all key characters will survive. The best option for an action-packed ending. Failing too many QTEs will result in Marcus’ death |
Second choice (after shelling)

| Option | Consequences |
|---|---|
| Sacrifice oneself ✅ | Powerful cut scene, sharp rise in public opinion |
| Attack | Transition to a combat scenario |
| Disperse | Retreat with loss of points |
Select “Stand Your Ground” and then “Sacrifice Yourself” for the best result.
Marcus will be wounded and fall, but before the special forces can finish him off, he will be saved by the android you spared in the chapter “Spare Parts.“ Your allies will pick up Marcus and carry him away—the chapter is complete.
