After completing Odin’s Trials, Senua finds herself in a new nightmarish place. This is the tenth part of the game, and here you will find exclusively combat content — there are no Stones of Knowledge in this area, so get ready for protracted battles.
A new blade and shadowy enemies

Awakening in the Sea of Corpses is accompanied by the appearance of enemies. However, Senua now has an advantage—the legendary sword Gramr. The first enemies will be incorporeal and immune to normal attacks. To make them vulnerable, hold down the strong attack button — the blade will light up and materialize the shadow northerners when it hits. An additional bonus of this technique is that the focus gauge on the mirror replenishes much faster, allowing you to use your concentration ability to reveal hidden enemies.

Canyon of Hands and Bodies

After dealing with the first group, proceed through the narrow gorge, which is completely covered with intertwined limbs and dead bodies. The darkness in Senua’s mind continues to torment her as you overcome a long series of battles.

Opponents in this trial:
| Enemy type | Features |
|---|---|
| Shadow Northerners | Intangible, require exposure through focus or a charged blade |
| Shield Bearers | Block frontal attacks |
| Two-handed axe warriors | Slow, but deal enormous damage |
Actively use your focus ability to materialize shadow enemies and slow down time. This will allow you to quickly deal with them. However, be on your guard — new enemies constantly appear from the side and can catch you off guard.

Mother’s voice

After clearing the area, you will hear the voice of Senua’s mother. Climb up to the nearest canyon and wade through the bloody sludge, moving toward the vision of her face. Another major confrontation lies ahead.
Battle with the Berserker

The next wave will feature a new type of enemy—a berserker armed with two small axes. His fighting style is similar to that of a warhorse: rapid lunges and a series of quick strikes. A typical berserker combo consists of two quick swings followed by a powerful overhead strike.
Tactics against berserkers:
- Most attacks can be blocked
- Beware of the kick—it stuns Senua
- When his health reaches a critical level, the berserker will throw a smoke grenade and become a shadow
- To re-materialize, use a focus or a charged blade
Waves of Shadow Northerners
After the berserker falls, new shadow northerners will appear. Important point: a perfectly calculated parry also charges the sword and can return the enemy to physical form. Enemies appear from all sides here, so the main priority is to keep your distance.

When a warrior with a two-handed axe enters the arena, focus on him first. Leave the slow swordsmen behind, deal with the dangerous targets, and then finish off the rest.
Double attack by berserkers
As you advance through the canyon, two berserkers will attack you simultaneously. Let them approach first, use parrying and focus, keeping both of them in your field of vision at all times — they move and attack with lightning speed.
After the berserkers, you will have to fight several axemen. Use the same tactic: provoke them to attack so that they break away from their allies, and destroy them one by one.
The way out

When the last enemy falls, climb out of the bloody waters. Climb higher and higher up the path until you reach two huge corpses with their arms locked together — cross this eerie bridge.

Another meeting with Senua’s mother awaits you. Find her, and the Sea of Corpses will be behind you. With Gramr in your hands, it’s time for the second assault on Helheim.
