“Potions Lesson” is a story quest in Hogwarts Legacy. In this lesson, you will be introduced to the art of creating magical potions under the guidance of Professor Sharp.
Start of class

Head to the potions lab to begin the quest. Here, you will be formally introduced to Professor Sharp, who will give you your first practical assignment: to brew a Vigenveld potion.
Preparation of the Vigenwald Potion

The cooking process consists of several consecutive stages:
| Stage | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Chop the ingredients according to the instructions on the screen. |
| 2 | Add a pinch of dittany when prompted |
| 3 | Add a few drops of horchampa juice |
| 4 | Stir the contents of the pot |

After completing all the steps, the potion will be ready.
Preparation of the Edurus Potion

Professor Sharp will praise your work and remind you of the recipe for Edurus Potion, which you previously purchased in Hogsmeade. To make it, you will need to collect two ingredients found in the professor’s office:
- Ash eggs
- Dark mongrel’s wool
Garrett Weasley’s request

On your way to the office, you will be intercepted by Garrett Weasley with an unexpected request. He will suggest that you seize the moment and grab an additional ingredient for him — a fvuper feather, which he needs for his own experiment.
Your choice: agree to help Garrett or refuse. If you decide to help, take the pen and give it to him.
Completion of cooking

Once you have gathered the necessary ingredients, return to your cauldron in the classroom. Select the Edurus potion and wait for the timer to finish. While you wait, Garrett’s potion will explode spectacularly. When the timer reaches zero, take the finished elixir and talk to Professor Sharp.

If you helped Garrett, the professor will reprimand you. However, honestly admitting your involvement will allow you to avoid serious consequences — Sharp will forgive your mistake.
After receiving praise for successfully brewing potions, the quest will end.
