Meeting with Almost Headless Nick

An owl post from Nelly Oggspire will inform you that Nearly Headless Nick wishes to speak with you. Head to the faculty hourglasses near the Great Hall—the ghost is already waiting there.

Nick knows about the book you found and the missing pages. However, he is willing to provide the information on one condition: you must bring him some rotten roast beef from the kitchen.

Go down the steps near the spiral staircase. Nick will point to a painting with a pear—tickle it to open a secret entrance. At the far end of the room, opposite the entrance, there is a small niche. Look for the barrel on the right—the piece of spoiled meat you need is lying on it.

The house elf Finkey will appear in the cutscene and allow you to take the find. Return to Nick — he will explain the next step: you need to deliver the meat to Sir Patrick in order to join the Wild Hunt and, through it, contact Richard Jackdow, who has information about the book.

At the cemetery outside Hogwarts, Nick will introduce you to Sir Patrick Delaney-Podmore. The headless ghost Jackdaw is also here. The problem is obvious: without a head, conversation is impossible — you’ll have to find it.

Despite Nick’s latest failed attempt to join the hunters, you can go outside the cemetery fence and talk to the ghost of Sir Nestor Amset. He will agree to talk to Jackdaw, but first there is a test: find the ghost’s head among the pumpkins five times.

After successfully completing the mini-game, you will finally be able to talk to Richard Jackdow and ask for help in finding the pages.

Quest finale

Jackdow confesses that he stole the pages from Pivz a long time ago. To find them, arrange a meeting with the ghost at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. By agreeing to this, you complete the task.
