“Astronomy Lesson” is a story quest in Hogwarts Legacy. During this quest, you will attend your first astronomy class, receive your own telescope, and learn about the mechanics of astronomical tables.

Attending class

Head to the Astronomy Tower. The golden circle at the entrance to the astronomy class will activate the start of the lesson. Here you will be formally introduced to Professor Shah and a student named Amit Takkar—together you will observe the stars.

Follow the on-screen prompts to adjust the focus of the telescope. Professor Shah will recommend that you observe the stars outside of class.

Obtaining a telescope

After the lesson, Amit will offer to lend you a spare telescope. To pick it up:

  1. Go down the small staircase to the right of the observation deck.
  2. Take the telescope from the table
  3. Go back up and go down one floor using the main staircase
  4. Talk to Amit again

Journey to the Astronomical Table

Amit will talk about astronomical tables—special points that allow you to discover hidden constellations. You will be transported beyond Hogwarts.

Mini-game with constellations

When interacting with the astronomical table, a mini-game starts. Your task is to match the outline of the constellation with the real stars in the sky. To do this, use the zoom, pan, rotate, and move functions of the telescope until the outline of the constellation exactly matches the stars.

After successfully completing the mini-game, the quest will be completed.
