Start of the quest

Your adventure begins outside the Great Hall, where you are greeted by Headmaster Phineas Black. Professor Fig leaves to report George’s death and Ranrock’s conspiracy to the Ministry, leaving you to face the legendary Sorting Ceremony.

Choosing a home

The Sorting Hat invites you to make an important decision. You can choose one of four houses: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin. This choice will determine the location of your common room and influence your experience throughout the game.
After the sorting, Headmaster Black dismisses everyone for the evening. Deputy Headmaster Professor Weasley shows you to your new common room for your house.

Your first morning at Hogwarts
When morning comes, leave your bedroom and enter the common room. Before continuing, talk to the other students.

Professor Weasley is waiting for you at the entrance to the common room with an important gift: the Wizard’s Field Guide. This magical tome will be an indispensable aid in your adventures.

Learning the basics of magic
The discovery of Revelio
During your walk with Professor Weasley, you will encounter the first sparkling object. Use the Revelio spell to reveal a page from the field guide, which will earn you experience points. This spell will become indispensable for uncovering the secrets hidden in Hogwarts and its surroundings.
Mastering the Flame of Flu

Professor Weasley will take you to the location of the Floo Network. Complete the tutorial to learn how to use this fast travel system, then use it to get to the Great Hall.

Your next goals
In the Great Hall, Professor Weasley gives three assignments:
- Attend lessons on charm
- Attend lessons on protection from the dark arts
- Visit Hogsmeade village to buy spare equipment
After discussing the dragon attack, Professor Fig arrives, and Professor Weasley apologizes and leaves. Fig demonstrates how to track quests using the field guide map. You can then choose where to start: with the dark arts lesson or the spell lesson.
