When your current plan fails, the Book sends you to the Gates of Time for “family therapy” and upgrades both characters with new powers:

  • Cody: rewinds time on key objects to restore them (or keep them in the “useful” state).
  • May: drops a clone marker anywhere and can teleport back to it when needed.

1) Learn the rewind: statue, then the blocked passage

Start by practicing Cody’s power on obvious “broken” targets:

  • Walk Cody to the shattered bird statue and rewind it until it’s whole.
  • Do the same with the collapsed wall that blocks the route forward—rewind it to clear the passage.

2) Beat the timed door with May’s clone

You’ll reach a locked door that only opens briefly when two levers are activated.

  • Have May place a clone marker right next to the locked door.
  • Coordinate with Cody to activate both levers to open the door.
  • The moment it opens, May teleports to her clone and slips through before it closes.

3) Restore the hook lever and hold it steady

Cody will reach a broken lever with a hook.

  • Cody rewinds the hook lever back to a working state and holds it there.
  • May uses that window to cross to the other side and press the button.

That button opens a new route and leads to another bird statue puzzle.

4) Use a collapsing statue as a “teleport anchor”

At the next broken bird statue, combine both abilities for a clean transfer:

  • Cody rewinds the statue to restore it.
  • May places her clone marker under/near the statue’s position (where she wants to end up).
  • When the statue is destroyed again, May teleports to her clone to reach the newly accessible area.
  • Cody then rewinds time to lift/raise the setup so May can get back up and continue.

5) Ride the black platform by restoring the statue

In the next room:

  • Cody restores another statue (rewind until it’s intact).
  • May stands on the black platform.
  • As Cody returns the statue to its correct state, the platform rises and pushes May forward.

Repeat the same idea to raise May higher: May positions on the platform, Cody rewinds to make the environment “complete,” and the platform does the lifting.

6) Three-button room: one player, two presses

You’ll find three floor buttons, each tied to a different lever.

  • Cody stands on one button.
  • May uses her clone so she can trigger the other two buttons (by positioning herself and her clone to cover both).

Goal: keep all required buttons pressed long enough to open the needed levers.

7) Door mechanism with a bell: freeze one side, double-press the other

For the next door puzzle:

  • Cody uses rewind to lift/position the bell above the right button (and keeps it there).
  • May uses her clone to interact with two buttons at once.

This combination gives you the timing you need to open the door and move on.

8) Toy city: explore first if you want

You’ll enter a large toy city area. Don’t rush the main objective:

  • There are mini-games, interactive objects, and an optional challenge worth checking before you continue.

9) Put out the “fire” by moving rain and cloud together

Follow the rails to the barrier by the building. You’ll see a staged fire that needs extinguishing:

  • Cody uses rewind to lower and raise the drawn rain.
  • May moves the cloud to aim the rain where it needs to go.

Stay in sync: May steers; Cody times the rain.

10) Hold the drawbridge down past its timer

At the drawbridge:

  • May uses a clone to activate two buttons and lower both bridge halves (they only stay down briefly).
  • Cody rewinds time to hold the bridge sections down long enough for the crossing.

11) The clock gate: match the tower

At the big clock gate, the solution is visual:

  • Set the clock hands to match the configuration shown on the tower behind the gate.

Take a second to compare angles and positions before committing—small differences matter.
