What you’ll do in this section

  • Clear a short 2D platforming challenge on a single, linear route.
  • Split responsibilities: May stays on the ceiling path for most of the run.
  • Use Cody’s size-changing to handle spots that require shrinking or growing.

Walkthrough

Follow one route, solve it two different ways

This trial plays like a 2D platformer with one main direction of travel. You’re moving through the same “lane,” but each character handles obstacles differently.

Key takeaway: If you’re stuck, don’t look for a second route—look for the same route being “read” differently by May and Cody.

May: commit to the ceiling track

As May, get onto the ceiling as soon as the level allows and keep advancing from above. You’ll stay up there for nearly the entire challenge, so prioritize forward momentum and keep pace with Cody below.

Cody: resize to match the obstacle

Certain sections are built around Cody changing size:

  • When progression feels blocked by space or reach, try shrinking.
  • When the next platform or clearance seems built for a bigger body, try growing.

Move forward under May, and adjust size whenever the layout stops making sense for your current state.

Common mistake: Overcommitting to one size. If you hesitate for more than a few seconds at an obstacle, switch size and re-check the same path.

Regroup near the end

Because May is traveling above for most of the section, it’s easy to desync. Slow down briefly when one player reaches a new segment so both of you enter the next obstacle area together.

Tips / Common mistakes (supported by the gameplay signals)

  • Stay aligned on the same route (it’s a single path): if you’re searching for alternate directions, you’re probably missing a character-specific approach.
  • May should remain on the ceiling route almost the whole time—dropping down repeatedly usually costs time and flow.
  • Cody should treat size-changing as the “answer key” whenever movement stalls.
