After the investigation at the Pavlov Complex, P-3 heads to meet with Dr. Filatova. “The Academy of Consequences” is the final chapter of Atomic Heart, and it is here that the fate of the entire story will be decided.
Warning before you begin: as soon as you head to the Lighthouse, the final act will begin. You won’t be able to return to free exploration. Complete all remaining Polygons, gather resources, and upgrade your arsenal in advance.
The Lighthouse: How to Get Inside

From the exit of Pavlov’s Complex, head left. Ahead lies a spacious clearing with a dead whale carcass in the center. Jump down—this is where the boss battle begins.
The Battle with Rosinka

A cutscene plays at the bottom of the arena: a massive robot bursts out of the whale’s belly, shaking the blood off itself. This is Rosinka—and she means business.
Stage One

Rosinka acts predictably. Her long-range attacks consist of laser beams with a long wind-up, giving you plenty of time to dodge. From time to time, the robot leaps forward, rapidly closing the distance for melee strikes.
The best strategy is to shoot the boss from a distance using the Dominator or Kalash. If Rosinka tries to get closer, back away to maintain your distance.
Stage Two

When the health bar drops to about half, mutated tentacles will burst out of Rosinka’s body, and the robot will transform into a hideous cyborg. In addition to her previous abilities, Rosinka can now:

- rushing toward you
- spewing clots of mutated bile
- reaching out with tentacles from a greater distance
- deal increased damage in close combat
Grab your most powerful weapon: the Railgun or the Fat Man are ideal. If you don’t have one, use an assault rifle and stay ready to dash. The whale carcass in the center of the arena provides convenient cover for healing, reloading, or changing magazines.
After the victory

Cutscene: Rosinka nearly dismembers P-3, but instead cuts a path upward and explodes. Climb the rocky path—first up the ledges, then jump onto the rocks to the right. A short cutscene awaits at the top.

The Path Through the Cliffs and Deactivating the Robots

Follow the path through the rocks. Behind the door, you’ll encounter a squad of white SYCHE robots, but at the last moment, Sechenov will report that the ceasefire code has been successfully extracted from Petrov’s memory. The robots are deactivated.
Despite Sechenov’s order to turn back, P-3 decides to continue on to Mayak to meet Filatova.
Breaking into the Lighthouse

The door to the Lighthouse will be locked. The solution is the yellow pipe to the left of the entrance. Climb up it, move to the yellow platform above the door, and go inside. Search everything you can in the bedroom, then exit through the door.

Down the stairs is a room with an armchair and a TV. Take a seat—the floor will begin to drop rapidly, pulling P-3 deep underwater. A view of an underwater structure will open up, and the music that plays will remind you of BioShock. P-3 will even describe what he sees as “ecstasy”—the reference is more than obvious.

Welcome to the Academy of Consequences. Talk to Filatova to move forward.
Inside the Academy of Consequences

After the conversation, Filatov will lead you through the doorway on the right into a spacious hall. A cutscene will play, after which you will find yourself on the other side of the room.

Get off the tram and stay close to Filatova. She will answer important plot questions while P-3’s hallucinations intensify. The protagonist’s condition is deteriorating before your eyes.
You’ll soon find yourself in the lobby—take a close look at the shelves, then continue following Filatova. On the bridge, a key dialogue awaits about the nature of hallucinations and Charles’s true identity. Next comes a cutscene and a passage through the door.
Continue following Filatova to the massive doors of the Records Room, where she will reveal Charles’s origins.
Archive Room: Search for Film Reels

The goal is to find all three rolls of film in the room and insert each one into the monitor located directly to the right of Filatova.
| Film | Location |
|---|---|
| First | Monitor southeast of Filatova’s position |
| Second | Upper right section of the archive—lying under a fallen shelf |
| Third | The upper left section of the archive—is on the table |
Known bug: Sometimes P-3 refuses to pick up film. The solution is to reload your last save: this will take you straight back to the entrance of the Archive Room.
By inserting all three entries, you’ll uncover the truth about Sechenov—a man with two killer ballerinas and a giant, body-devouring blob monster. Not exactly a model citizen, as it turns out.

After finishing your long conversation with Charles, tell Filatova that you’re ready to leave the Academy. In the cutscene, the two of you will get into the elevator. But something will go wrong on the way up…
The Third Journey to Limbo

The elevator scene will once again send P-3 into Limbo. Ahead of you is a ventilation shaft covered in blood. Crawl through it while listening to Sechenov’s monologue in your head.

At the end of the path, you will find yourself in a picturesque cottage. Exit through the back door—the vision will end.
The Decisive Choice: Two Endings

Once he comes to his senses, P-3 learns who Grandma Zina is and faces the game’s biggest decision: to join forces with Sechenov or put an end to his plans.
Leave (ending: “Departure”)
P-3 gives up the fight. The game ends with a final cutscene and credits. In terms of content, this ending is minimal. Reload your save if you want to see the full ending.
Fight (ending: “Battle”)

P-3 intends to stop Sechenov and asks Grandma Zina where the weapons are kept. You’ll appear near the save point and the vending machine—it’s the perfect time to save, upgrade your weapons, and stock up on first-aid kits. Tough battles lie ahead.

Make your way to the opposite edge of the floating island and use the zipline to descend to Chelomey. Enter the building when you’re ready.
The Fight with the Left

Left, the first of the Twins, is already waiting for you in the hallway. The game will warn you about a new mechanic: both Twins can store energy and unleash it in powerful attacks. Dealing damage slows down their charge accumulation, but if you let them reach the energy surge phase, the damage will be colossal.
Normal state
The Left is the fastest enemy in the entire game. She closes the distance instantly, unleashing a series of brutal melee combos. The “Slippery Type” ability, with its invincibility frames, is your salvation; if you haven’t acquired it, it makes sense to restart and pick it up beforehand.

Switch between the assault rifle (at a distance) and the high-speed melee weapon (when Left gets up close). When unloaded, its primary long-range attack is a slow laser beam, which is easy to dodge with the “Slippery” playstyle.
Why close combat is essential: if you stop dealing damage, Leiva’s charge bar will fill up, and she’ll switch to a much more dangerous mode. Even when she’s close by—keep attacking, don’t stop.
Charged state
The Left will start firing electric shockwaves across the entire arena—the damage is massive. Dodge using the “Slippery” type or jump over the projectiles. Melee attacks will speed up: dashes across the arena, knockdowns, and crawling on all fours. As soon as the Left glows blue—switch to survival mode: prioritize dodging over dealing damage.
The Left’s Final Push

Once defeated, the Left will fly to the center of the arena and fire a laser trap that destroys everything nearby. Dodge the beams and hold out for a few seconds—it will collapse. Approach and interact to trigger a cutscene.

Preparing for the Final Battle

The elevator will open on the opposite side of the room. Go upstairs, walk down the long corridor lined with robot models, and search the chests. At the massive wooden door, there is a vending machine on the right and a save station on the left.
Recommended set for the final battle:
- As many first-aid kits as possible
- Fast melee weapons (recommended: Pâté)
- Dominator
- Fat Man and Railgun (if available)
- Sufficient Ammunition Supply
Check your abilities and weapon upgrades. Save your progress and log in.
The Final Battle: Both Twins

The long cutscene ends with Sechenov setting both Twins on you. The final battle of the game begins.
QTE Series

Immediately after the start, P-3 will end up on the floor. A sequence of three QTEs follows. The first one is the trickiest: the indicator is practically invisible against the white background, and failing it means an instant mission failure. The order is randomized, so if you fail, just try again. After the first QTE, quickly press the button, then another single QTE.
Combat Tactics

The battle follows the same mechanics as the fight against Left, but now Right attacks from the air: she flies around the arena, bombarding you with polymer and healing Left at the cost of her own health.

The main rule: don’t waste ammo on the Right. It’s hard to hit a moving target, and her health is already taking a hit from attacks on the Left. Focus all your damage on the Left, alternating between the assault rifle at a distance and close combat when she gets up close.
Watch out for large clumps of polymer floating above—these are attacks from the Right. Her charge gauge will inevitably fill up, so stay alert: energy waves will be coming your way.
Combined attacks—the main threat
The Twins are most dangerous when they work together. Their combined attacks deal massive damage:
| Attack | Description |
|---|---|
| Polymer Strike | The right hand throws an explosive polymer clump; the left hand drives it into the ground |
| Dual Laser | Both Twins direct a joint laser beam at P-3 |
As soon as they start running toward each other—get ready to dodge immediately.
Laser phases
About halfway through the fight, the Twins take flight and perform an enhanced version of the laser trap seen in the battle with Leva. Dodge the beams and survive until the phase ends, then continue at the same pace.

Toward the end, this same attack repeats. Hold out—the screen will gradually turn white, signaling the end of the battle.
End of the game
The battle is over, and you’ve beaten Atomic Heart. Ahead lies the final scene with the last plot twist, followed by the credits. Congratulations on beating the game!
