Descend the staircase and approach the enemy stealthily. Strangle him by holding E. Once the animation begins, spam E to complete the chokehold. Search the body to obtain a whetstone. Switch to your knife by pressing “3”, then press R to sharpen it. Each sharpening consumes one whetstone. Pick the lock on the door.

Clearing the Initial Area

Move through the next building and knock out the second enemy. Search him, sharpen your knife, and eliminate the third opponent by sneaking up and pressing Q. Remember to search all incapacitated or eliminated enemies to collect whetstones and keep your knife sharp.

Continue forward, deal with several more enemies, and open the warehouse gates to meet Il Merlo. Don Torrizzi appears during the cutscene.

Journey to the Estate

Follow Luca Trapani and ride on horseback to Don Torrizzi’s estate. You’ll be introduced to Gaspare. Enter your assigned room. The next morning, Cesare will visit Enzo.

Important: After regaining control, pick up the “Harvest Instructions” note from the crate, then interact with the wardrobe.

Even if you purchased the Deluxe Edition, you cannot equip the bonus outfits yet. Choose between the standard and modified vineyard worker attire. You can disable story-driven outfit changes, though this will cause Enzo’s appearance to mismatch on-screen events. Confirm your clothing selection, close the wardrobe, grab the bandage from the left table, and apply it by holding F.

Exploring the Estate Grounds

Before entering the cellar where Cesare went, take time to explore. Visit the stables to find the “Caring for Cosimo” note inside. Exit the stables, turn right, and climb onto the porch with a solitary man. On the table lies “Opera Season” (newspaper collection 1/50).

Return toward the cellar but don’t enter yet. Head to the right section of the courtyard where tables are set up and women are working. The kitchen on the right will be accessible, with the “Gift from Gulotta” note on the table. Outside, another table has the “Newspaper – Bandit Robbery” note.

Cellar Tasks and Kitchen Duties

Enter the cellar to join Cesare. Find the “Delivery Schedule” note on the left crate. Transfer three crates of alcohol to the cart and speak with Cesare.

Talk with Valentina, Luca’s wife, then enter the barn to collect a pig carcass. Follow her to the kitchen inside the house. The central table contains “Valentina’s Pork Spezzatino Recipe” note. Place the pig on the table and collect the “Guest List” note near the exit on the right.

Evening Preparations

Follow Cesare to the stable and interact with the shovel. After the cutscene introducing a mysterious woman, head outside. Optionally speak with Gaspare before finding Cesare. You can talk to Roberto and Enrico to learn about Tino. Return to your quarters, chatting with Padre Ciccone along the way.

Collecting Your First Talisman

Inside Enzo’s barn, collect the note from Padre Ciccone and the Saint Celeste statuette from the table. Each Saint Celeste statue rewards you with a talisman. Talismans provide beneficial effects during gameplay and are divided into medallions and beads. Medallions are rarer and offer more powerful effects.

To unlock additional talisman slots, upgrade your rosary. Press ESC now and navigate to the “Talismans” section. Deluxe Edition owners can select from several medallions for the first slot. Wash yourself in the water basin.
