In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the right gear is a matter of life and death. The Zone is hidden with many unique armor sets that are easy to miss if you don’t know where to look.

In this guide, we’ve compiled the exact coordinates and instructions for obtaining 7 rare costumes and helmets, including locked caches with codes and multi-step puzzles.

1. SIVA D Suit

  • Location: Cement factory.
  • Where to find it: The suit is on the roof of an unfinished building in the northeastern part of the location.
  • Important warning: The path to the top is extremely dangerous. The building is permeated by an anomaly that constantly drains your health and causes severe dizziness. Be sure to save your game before starting your climb to the roof.

2. “Wind of Freedom” Suit

  • Location: Between Slag Heap and Sprout.
  • Where to find it: Look for a pipeline overpass (a bridge made of pipes) that you can walk under. The suit is lying on the ground right next to one of the massive pipes.

3. PSZ-5I “Hawk” Body Armor

  • Location: Railway maintenance facility.
  • Where to find it: The cache is located across from where the upgraded AR416 (Soft Mod) is lying. The door to the room is locked with a combination lock.
  • Door code: 2468

4. PSZ-12V “Bulat” Body Armor

  • Location: Army warehouses.
  • Where to find it: Head to the old Freedom HQ building. The stash is located on the ground floor; the entrance is secured with a combination lock.
  • Door code: 0690

5. SIVA Suit

  • Location: Duga.
  • Where to find it: The suit is hidden in the school building at the southernmost part of the map.
  • How to get it: Access to the stash is unlocked through a mini-quest. At the main entrance to the school, you’ll meet a soldier fighting off zombies. Talk to him.
  • Note: This quest will only appear once you reach the main story missions in the Duga region.
  • Release bug: Sometimes the NPC who gives the quest may suddenly become hostile. If this happens, just kill him and take the key from his body—you’ll still be able to open the door.

6. Sphere M20 Helmet

  • Location: Rostock.
  • How to obtain: This is a story-based reward. The Bartender gives you the helmet as payment for completing the quest “Just Business.“ To complete the quest, you’ll need to take care of a bandit squad in the Red Forest.

7. PSZ-9D Duty Armor

  • Location: Yantar, Agricultural Workshop.
  • How to Obtain (Puzzle): This armor is located on the roof of the skybridge connecting the buildings. Reaching it involves a series of tasks. Follow this route:
    1. Find the first key in the warehouses.
    2. Use it to unlock the staircase in the adjacent building.
    3. Climb the scaffolding and grab the second key, which is lying next to the mutant.
    4. Use the second key to open the path to Poltergeist’s lair. The third key is lying next to him. (Tip: You don’t have to kill the mutants; you can just grab the item and run away.)
    5. Open the last door, climb onto the roof of the passageway, and grab the armor.
