In this guide, we’ll take a detailed look at how to get your hands on the latest batch of top-tier gear in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The list includes seven unique items: from powerful quest-based weapons to heavy armor and helmets with high protection ratings.
Some of them are strictly plot-driven, while others require you to thoroughly explore locations and complete non-obvious side quests.
1. The “Deadeye” Weapon

You can’t miss this weapon if you’re following the main storyline.
- How to obtain: Awarded automatically upon successfully completing the story mission “Through Thorns to the Stars” (Ad Astra Per Aspera).
2. The “Gambit” Weapon

Another quest weapon, obtaining which may be hindered by technical issues in the current version of the game.
- How to obtain: This is a reward for completing the “In Search of Miracles“ quest chain. Most likely, the barrel is awarded for one of the first two stages: “A Long Overdue Visit” or “A Forge in Progress.”
- ⚠️ Important: The quest often has bugs, which may cause the reward to not appear or be delayed.
3 and 4. Corundum Suit and RPG

Both of these heavy items are located in the same place and are collected during the story quest.
- Related Quest: Main Mission “Just Like the Good Old Days“.
- Location: Wild Island, Shelter base.
- Where to find it: The gear is located in the gun shop area. You can pick up the armor and grenade launcher right in the middle of the mission, or simply grab them at the very end of the mission, since the story will lead you to this spot anyway.
5. Clusterf Weapon

To obtain this barrel, you’ll need to complete a series of tasks in the Zaton location.
- Location: Zaton.
- Related Quest: Side Mission “Three Captains“.
- How to obtain: Access to the quest is unlocked only after you complete all other side quests in “Skadovsk.” The quest itself is given by the merchant Sonia.
- Where to look: The weapon is hidden in “Sniper’s Nest”—this is an optional part of the mission. Be sure to check it out while completing the quest.
6. SEVA-V Suit

An excellent option for a closed-circuit breathing system for exploring hazardous abnormal zones.
- Location: Rostock.
- Where to find it: Head to the helicopter crash site. There is a tall construction crane nearby. Climb the ladder to the very top—the SEVA-B suit is inside the crane operator’s cab.
7. Tactical Helmet

One of the best helmets in the game in terms of physical damage reduction.
- Location: Rostock.
- Where to find it: The helmet is hidden in the bottom-left corner of the location (southern part of the map). Look for the underpass exit—the item is located there.
