After recovering from her head injury, Amicia teams up with Hugo and Arnaud to secure a boat. This chapter takes you through beaches infested with rats and encounters with hostile forces.

Finding the Black-Headed Gull Feather

Follow Hugo down the cliff to reach the beach below. Your first task is locating a black-headed gull feather. Hugo will ask Amicia if he can scare the gulls perched on a rock. Once he does, look for a wooden hut on the left side of the beach. Enter the structure and use the window on the left to spot the feather lying on the ground.

Navigating the Beached Boat and Rat Nest

Return to the beach and interact with the rope attached to the washed-up boat. Rats will emerge immediately. Shoot the fish near the hut to create a distraction for the rodents. Take control of the rats and direct them toward the fish to clear your path. Once safe, crouch and move beneath the rock formation.

Inside, more rats await. Fire an Ignifer arrow at the wooden plank ahead, then ignite the brazier positioned further along. Use an Ignifer pot to cross the chasm and climb upward. Grab a stick from the top, drop back down, and light it. Carry the burning stick as you proceed along the right pathway.

Crossing the Large Rat Nest

A massive rat nest blocks your way forward. Pull the rope to reveal a cart with a brazier in the center. Light the brazier and push the cart through the nest. When you reach the far end, follow the wall on your left. Arnaud will become trapped in a rat nest and need illumination—shoot the brazier near him.

Arnaud will throw yellow crystals that allow you to create Odoris, which attracts rats.

Use Odoris to clear a path so Arnaud can reach the lever. Command him to use it, which shifts a wooden plank into position. Shoot the plank with an Odoris arrow. Have Arnaud release the lever to create a safe passage for himself. Once he rejoins you, he’ll suggest shooting an Ignifer arrow at his shield to traverse the remaining rat nest. Do this, regroup, and continue together.

Beach Memory and Ship Wreckage

Upon reaching the next beach, you can optionally use the workbench. Take a moment to collect a memory here. After passing through the rat nest with the lit arrow on Arnaud’s shield, you’ll arrive at a new beach area. On the left side, ship wreckage contains a workbench at its center. A climbable rock formation sits on the right. Interact with the wreckage to obtain the memory.

Ship Interior Combat Strategy

Move toward the large ship wreckage and shoot Odoris to distract rats while approaching the light source. Pick up a stick and ignite it from the campfire. Head inside the broken ship. Grab a torch but proceed carefully—enemies are ahead. Ascend to the ship’s second level and extinguish the torches held by your opponents. This eliminates the enemies while occupying the rodents.

When ready, take the torch from below and move right, heading upward. Deal with the guard, continue right, and release an Ignifer arrow at the wooden plank to create light. This won’t be sufficient, so throw an Ignifer pot to reach the burning arrow. Near the next wreckage section, you’ll discover a secret chest.

Secret Chest Location

After navigating through the extensive cave complex filled with rats and enemies, you’ll reach the other side and see a wooden section that needs moving to pass through the rock. Before doing so, look right to find a hole leading to additional ship wreckage. The secret chest is located here.

Reaching the Hideout and Beach Combat

Leave this area and shift the wooden beam blocking the passage through the rock. Walk through the water, climb the rocks, and enter the hideout. Following the cutscene, you’ll find yourself on a beach. Many enemies stand between you and the boat you need, but you can command Arnaud to attack them. He handles one-on-one combat effectively, but if two or more enemies attack him simultaneously, he may fall. Avoid creating these overwhelming situations for Arnaud.

Finding the Cave Memory

Proceed across the beach toward the distant light, using Hugo’s abilities if rats block your path. To advance, push aside a wooden beam and squeeze through the crack in the rock. After doing this while attempting to reach Sophia’s boat, immediately turn around. You’ll notice a ledge Amicia can climb, leading to a cave. Take the torch and approach the back wall to collect the memory.

Village Area and Final Boat Sequence

Exit and head to the village on the left. More enemies patrol here—handle them yourself or with Arnaud’s assistance. At the area’s end, a fully armored enemy awaits. Aim for his back to remove the armor first. When you open the door near him, a cutscene triggers.

Board the boat with Sophia. Help Arnaud with the anchor, then move right to deal with the rats. First, shoot the hanging fish, then open the hatch by shooting the lock. Use the lever at the pier’s end, then shoot the chain with your sling to release the anchor. Return to the anchor and interact with it. Once more, proceed to the pier on the right and shoot the chain with your sling. Chapter complete!
