Carnation Location

Follow the path until you spot Lucas kneeling near the doorway. He’s examining the final collectible in Hugo’s Collection: a Carnation.

Through the door, countless rats surround a massive structure in the distance—Hugo’s location. A rat swarm destroys the building beneath you, sending all three characters tumbling down. Lucas gets separated while Sophia injures her leg during the fall.

Leave Sophia behind to recover and step outside. You’ll see Lucas on the opposite side as rat waves surge past at regular intervals. Lucas explains you can reach the wall fragment down the slope by timing your movement between waves. Wait until a wave completely passes, drop down, and sprint to the wall.

At the wall, wait for the next wave before dropping left and sprinting to another wall section on that side.

Once the following wave clears, sprint downward and take cover beside the gate on the left. The first passing wave partially damages the gate, while the second destroys it entirely, creating your path forward.

The upcoming section proves challenging because your cover collapses after one wave passes. You cannot remain at any single position for more than one wave.
Move quickly between cover spots down the hill (the remaining positions stay stable). At one point, push debris aside to create a gap you can squeeze through.

Wait for a wave to pass, squeeze through to the other side, then sprint toward the bridge and vault over debris to reach safety.

Walk to the bridge’s end for a brief scene where you plan your next move, then press the prompt to slide into the mist below. You and Lucas separate, leaving you to navigate the linear path alone. Sprint forward until you discover a phoenix statue. Follow where the statue points to locate another one (similar to Chapter 9), continuing this pattern as the statues grow increasingly massive.

When the statues become gigantic, reverse course and move opposite to their pointing direction. Keep heading in that single direction until you’re transported to an area with enormous skull statues pouring out rats. Stay near the brazier as rats form giant human shapes and advance toward you. These creatures cannot be defeated, so eventually one attacks and transports you again.

Head opposite to the phoenix statue ahead, and regardless of other statues you encounter, maintain your original direction from that first statue. You’ll return to the skull arena again. Tar can brighten the brazier, slowing the rat creatures and letting you strike them with your Ignifier Sling.
However, the actual solution requires using Extinguis on the brazier to eliminate the light.

You’re teleported directly before Hugo. Take his hand and walk with him, pushing through visions of every location you’ve visited throughout your journey.

Hugo reveals the only way to stop the Macula is through his death. You reluctantly accept this burden. Push through the door at the path’s end as Hugo vanishes. Approach the red light, but Amicia collapses, unable to complete the task.

Lucas appears and embraces you, breaking the trance. Together you see Hugo in the distance, trapped within a structure of rot.

Walk forward until you reach the end and equip your Sling for the final time. Take aim, wind up slowly, and release…
