Professor Weasley’s Assignment

The story quest in Hogwarts Legacy is dedicated to collecting pages of the field guide and studying the Transfiguration spell under the guidance of Professor Weasley. This guide contains all the information you need to successfully complete the task.

Quest start conditions

The quest becomes available after completing the story quest “Fire and Vice.” Once you complete it, Professor Weasley will send you an owl with an invitation to study the Transfiguration spell. The minimum character level required is 20.

Front page: Underground Harbor

Head to the Viaduct Courtyard area of Hogwarts Castle. If the “Viaduct Courtyard” fast travel point in the Great Hall region has already been unlocked, use it to save time.

From the transfer point, head north up the nearest staircase, then turn northeast along the path. Use the corner of the building with decorative tubs at each column as a landmark. Under the arch, you will find a metal door with an elevator that will take you directly to the Underground Harbor.

Inside the harbor, there are docks with boats. Walk along the eastern row of docks to the farthest dock from the entrance. Stand on it facing the water (to the west) and activate the Revelio spell — the field guide page will appear in front of you.

Page 2: Hogwarts Library

To obtain the second page, proceed to the castle library. Quickly moving to the “Library” point in the Library Wing region will significantly expedite your journey.

From the transfer point, climb any of the spiral staircases to the upper floor. In the northeast corner of the floor, you will meet student Sofronia Franklin—she is studying books on the shelves.

Conversation with Sofronia Franklin

Explain your situation to the girl and ask her to show you the book “Transfiguration for Advanced Students” that she has. Sofronia will agree to give you the book on one condition—you must participate in her quiz on the history of the magical world.

Quiz: Important Details

Don’t worry about getting the answers wrong — Sofronia will continue asking questions regardless of the results. After five questions, she will be satisfied with your participation and return the book to the pedestal behind her.

The quiz has several levels of difficulty. To complete the quest, you only need to answer the first five questions. However, those who wish to can continue and answer all 20 additional questions for the final reward (which is quite modest, though).

After collecting both pages of the field guide, return to Professor Weasley to learn the Transfiguration spell and complete the quest.
