A truck blocks the tunnel ahead. Ellie must be boosted over first.

How to Navigate the Flooded Sewers?
The hospital building is visible in the distance. The sewer area is flooded with strong currents.
Initial navigation:
- Dive into the water
- Swim through the corridor
- Surface and climb onto pipes
- Drop a wooden pallet from above
- Help Ellie cross to the upper slanted ladder
- Ellie lowers a vertical ladder (the ladder breaks and falls)
How to Build a Bridge to Ellie?
After the ladder breaks, Joel must create an alternate path.
Ladder puzzle sequence:
- Place the ladder against the opposite wall
- Climb up using the placed ladder
- Move the ladder to a separate island platform
- Position the ladder as a bridge to reach Ellie
How to Cross the Rapid Current?
A strong current flows below the platforms. Falling into the water causes failure.
Crossing sequence:
- Jump across cars, vans, and pipes
- Land on a bus
- The bus shifts and floats downstream
- Attempt to climb out of the water
- Joel surfaces but Ellie drowns
How Does the Chapter End?
After surfacing, Joel must revive Ellie.
