Visit to Karl

The chapter opens with a scene in a cemetery: Marcus stands at Carl’s grave. The game will offer several lines of dialogue — choose any you like, as they do not affect the plot. There will be about four dialogue options in total. After saying goodbye, Marcus will walk past Leo and head to the church, which has become a refuge for androids.

If Karl survived
If Carl survives in the chapter “Broken,” the beginning will be different. Marcus will find himself in Carl’s house. Check out the side table — there you can listen to Leo’s voice message to his father. It’s also worth exploring the house in more detail: in the main room, Marcus can play the piano, and in the studio, he can look at his own painting. All of this adds entries to the flowchart.
When you are ready to move on, go up to the second floor and turn on the android nurse. After that, Marcus will be able to talk to Carl heart to heart and get advice from him. Choose the lines you think are appropriate and leave the house.
In church

Once inside, you can move around freely and talk to everyone present. There are two mandatory conversation partners: Kara and Connor.

| Character | Where to find | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Kara | Central part of the church | Marcus apologizes to her |
| Connor | Next to Kara | You must decide his fate — choose “Trust” for the best ending |
| Josh | Near Connor and Kara | Optional but useful dialogue |
| Simon | Opposite side of the church | Optional but useful dialogue |
| North | Center of the church | Talk to her last, go through all dialogue options |
The best way to get the best ending is to talk to Kara first, then Connor (trust him and listen to his plan), then Josh and Simon, and lastly North. After talking to North, they’ll have a quick moment of intimacy.
If Carl is alive, the order changes slightly: first talk to Connor and confide in him, then visit Kara, followed by Simon and Josh, and finally North.
The main choice: Demonstration or Revolution

Approach the platform in the center of the church and address the crowd. Marcus must determine the next course of action:
- Peaceful demonstration — march and protest without violence
- Armed revolution — storming and forceful liberation of androids
For a good ending, choose the peaceful demonstration. Marcus will give a speech that will influence relationships with other characters and public opinion.
Important: the revolution leads to the death of several characters and prevents Kara’s group from safely crossing the border. If you still choose the revolution but want to keep Kara and Alice alive, let them be captured in the next chapter. In addition, the revolution path blocks the “Survivors” trophy.
Connor’s line in this chapter
Connor’s block diagram is divided into two branches here:
If Hank’s relationship with Connor is hostile, a scene will start in which Connor tries to make peace with Hank, but it’s too late: Hank commits suicide. If you see this scene, the good ending is closed to you.
If Marcus is dead or has left Jericho, control passes to the deviant Connor. In this case, he is the one who investigates the church: he visits Simon, apologizes to Kara and Alice, and then discusses the plan with North. However, North will lead the androids to revolution in any case, and the “Survivors” trophy will become unavailable.
