The Rhodes Hill Care Center in Resident Evil 9: Requiem holds many dark secrets, and one of them involves a body in the Examination Room that is missing some parts. To proceed further, you’ll need to find and open the Organ Transport Box.

You’ll find the container itself in the Garage. It’s easy to pick it up, but you won’t be able to open it on your first try. Below, we’ll walk you through how to solve this puzzle in detail.

Where to find a password hint

Trying to pick the lock at random won’t get you anywhere. To find the correct combination, you’ll need a Leatherbound Notebook. Most likely, you already have it in your inventory: you receive it along with the Sun Quartz after opening the box in the Lead Researcher’s Office.

Examine the notebook in your inventory. Inside, you will find a document titled “Unlocking the Organ Transport Box.” The top image in the file clearly shows the control panel and the correct sequence for interacting with its elements.

How to Open an Organ Transport Container: A Step-by-Step Guide

Pick up the container and examine its back panel. If you’ve already tried pressing the buttons before finding the hint, be sure to press the Reset button.

To open successfully, follow these steps in the exact order listed:

Turn the left switch from the AUTO position to the HAND position.

Move the slider on the far right up to exactly the middle.

Flip switch number 5.

Flip switch number 2.

Turn the left switch back from the HAND position to AUTO.

Reward: What’s inside the container?

As soon as you flip the last switch, the container will open. Inside, you’ll find Artificial Lungs.

Now you can take them to the Observation Room and place them in the body. However, to fully complete this medical puzzle, you’ll also need an Artificial Heart—you’ll have to find that separately.
