Smart resource management is key to survival in the Rhodes Hill Care Center. In Resident Evil 9: Requiem, one of the most valuable items for Grace is the Hip Pouches.

There are a total of 4 hip bags hidden throughout the game. Each one permanently adds two additional slots to your inventory capacity. Collecting all the bags is crucial for a smooth playthrough, and in this guide, we’ll explain in detail where to find them.

Bag #1: Care Center Parlor

You can get the first inventory upgrade fairly early on. You’ll end up in the Parlor anyway as part of the story to pick up the key card for the East Wing.

  • How to open: The bag is locked in a locker that requires 3 antique coins to open.
  • Where to find the coins: On the standard difficulty level, two coins are located right in the Living Room, and the third is in the Guard Office. You can retrieve the bag immediately after unlocking the Living Room.

The second inventory expansion awaits you on the first floor of the West Wing.

  • Where to look: Go through the Dining Room to reach the Card Room. Inside, you will see a Level 1 security door leading to a small storage room.
  • How to open: You will need a Level 1 ID Wristband. We strongly recommend returning here and opening the door immediately after obtaining the wristband to retrieve the bag.

Bag #3: Basement, Processing Room

The third hip bag is hidden in the basement of the medical center, and it is the last bag you can find in this location. The path to it consists of several stages.

Requirements: First, you need to escort Emily to open the quartz puzzle box in the Security Manager’s Office.

How to obtain: Obtain two Joint Plugs and enter the Processing Room via the Collection Pool.

There you will find the Forklift Key.

Use it to push the forklift out of the way—it will clear the path to the room where the long-awaited bag is located.

Bag #4: ARK Complex, Bioweapon Repository 05

It’ll take quite a while to reach the last bag—it’s located in the final gameplay segment of Grace, far beyond Rhodes Hill.

  • Where to find it: On the grounds of the ARK research complex.
  • How to get it: Once you have the Magnetic Key, you can enter Bio-Weapon Storage 05. Be careful: the area is swarming with Lickers and zombies. There are containers in this room that you can interact with. Open the very first container you come across—the fourth bag is inside. Once you take it, Grace will reach her maximum inventory capacity!
