When you finally reach Raccoon City as Leon in Resident Evil 9: Requiem, the game will give you the freedom to explore a significant portion of the city.

There are plenty of useful items hidden here, but the best source of top-tier loot is the BSAA Supply Containers. There are a total of 4 such containers in the game. If you find and open them all, you’ll not only get powerful weapons and upgrades, but you’ll also unlock the “Crate Expectations” trophy/achievement.

In this guide, we’ll take a detailed look at where to find the keys to the containers, how to get to each one, and what rewards await you inside.

How do I open BSAA containers?

To open these boxes, you’ll need the BSAA Container Key. You can’t miss it: the key is automatically awarded as part of the story after you exit the underground parking garage at Cedarbrook Apartments.

Locations of all BSAA containers and rewards

BSAA Container No. 01 (and BSAA Key)

  • Where to find it: Right at the exit of the Cedarbrook Apartments underground parking garage. You’ll see a group of dead BSAA soldiers. After the cutscene, you’ll receive the BSAA Key. The first container is right next to the bodies and is already open.
  • What’s inside: A Med Injector and a file listing the BSAA cargo, which gives a hint about the contents of the other crates:
    • Container 01: Medicines and supplies.
    • Container 02: Motorcycle and repair kit.
    • Container 03: Sniper rifles.
    • Container 04: Modules for sniper rifles.

BSAA Container No. 02

  • Where to find it: Inside the BSAA Central Camp, which will serve as your temporary base.
  • What’s inside: This is the only mandatory container in the game. Without it, you won’t be able to progress through the story. Inside is a Repair Kit for the detonator, as well as the motorcycle Leon will later use to leave Raccoon City.

BSAA Container No. 03

  • Where to find it: Head east along Main Street, past the gas station. You’ll come to a traffic jam of abandoned cars on the highway. Container #03 is hidden among the wreckage.
  • Danger: Caution! An ambush awaits you inside—a horde of zombies.
  • What’s Inside: Take care of the undead, and deep inside the container you’ll find a new weapon—the Marksman 1A. This is a semi-automatic sniper rifle. It deals slightly less damage than your standard sniper rifle, but doesn’t require manual reloading after each shot, making it indispensable in intense combat.

BSAA Container No. 04

Where to find it: You passed this container at the very beginning of your journey in Raccoon City, right in front of The Applegate Hotel. However, getting back to it isn’t so easy.

How to get there:

*All turns are marked with arrows

1. Get the Gas Can at the gas station. 2. Refuel the generator near the large hole where you previously pulled the lever to lower the bridge. 3. This will open up a long linear route with plenty of loot. You’ll have to go through the Raccoon City subway tunnels and Ridgewood Station (Ridgewood Station). 4. This path will create a shortcut from the subway near the BSAA Central Camp to the back of the Applegate Hotel. 5. Warning: Enemies will attack you as you approach Container #04!

What’s Inside: BSAA Emblem Charm. This item increases the damage of sniper rifles when you remove their scope. It pairs perfectly with your new Marksman 1A rifle!
