While exploring the Rhodes Hill Care Center in Resident Evil 9: Requiem as Grace, you’ll need to find three quartz gems. Without them, you won’t be able to open the door to the courtyard and make your long-awaited escape.
It’s harder than it looks. Each crystal is locked inside a special puzzle box, and to access some of them, you’ll need to fulfill a series of additional conditions. Below are all the correct combinations and methods for obtaining quartz, which are ideal for both a standard playthrough and a speedrun.
1. Chairman’s Office — Moonstone
To find the solution to the first box, go to the coffee table in the Chairman’s Office.
Use the Pencil tool on the notepad lying there.

By shading the page, you will reveal the hidden password.

Correct code: Moon, Sun, Star, Moon.

Reward: Moon Quartz.
2. Lead Researcher’s Office — Sun Quartz
This is the hardest chest in the area. A direct approach won’t work here—you’ll need to break the lock.

Go to the Conference Room and pick up the Corrosive.

Use it on the box in the researcher’s office.

You can figure out the password clue by carefully examining the photographs in the room.

Correct code: Star, Sun, Moon, Sun.

Reward: Sun Quartz and Leatherbound Notebook.
3. Security Manager’s Office — Star Quartz

The clue to this puzzle is right on the security chief’s desk, next to the Level 3 ID wristband. The note contains the password: Star, Star, Moon, Sun.

However, there is a problem: the visual symbols on the box itself have been completely erased. Only the Braille remains, which Grace cannot read. According to the story, the heroine decides to ask Emily, a blind girl in the Medication Room, for help, and you will receive the stone only after completing the stage in the Care Center Basement.
If you want to enter the code blindly (buttons from left to right: Sun, Moon, Star), use the following combination:
Button sequence: Right, Right, Center, Left.
Reward: Star Quartz.
Once you’ve collected all three stones, you’ll be able to unlock the door to the medical center’s courtyard and continue your survival.
