To survive the nightmares and fend off hordes of zombies in Resident Evil 9: Requiem, you’ll need a powerful arsenal. Firearms are your main key to survival as you explore the Rhodes Hill Care Center and the streets of Raccoon City. But finding them isn’t that easy (unless, of course, you’re playing as Leon with his special crate).
In this guide, we’ve compiled the exact locations of all story-based guns and modules. We do not include weapons from Leon’s bonus chest or guns unlocked after completing the game (post-game). However, we guarantee that you won’t miss a single optional gun for either character during your first playthrough.
Grace’s Weapons: Where to Find the Entire Arsenal
During a first playthrough without DLC, Grace can obtain three types of firearms. Here’s where they’re hidden:
1. Secret Weapon: Requiem

- Where to find it: Appears in the story.
- Description: The most powerful weapon in Grace’s arsenal. You’ll get it right after the terrifying opening: as soon as Grace escapes from “The Girl” at the Care Center, Leon will rescue her and give her this gun for self-defense.
- Important detail: Ammo is extremely limited. Crafting new ammunition requires Rare Metal, which is hidden behind locks that require Lockpicks.
2. B934 Pistol

- Where to find it: On the floor of the Dining Room, one floor below the Bar & Lounge.
- Description: A modest but reliable pistol for which ammunition is easy to find. You can pick it up as soon as Grace passes through the Kitchen for the first time. We recommend not missing it—a whole horde of zombies awaits you ahead.
3. S&S M232 Pistol

- Where to find it: On the bar counter at the Bar & Lounge, next to the local safe.
- Description: This is Grace’s personal pistol, which is taken from her at the very beginning of the game. It uses the same ammunition as the B934 but deals increased damage, making it the perfect choice for taking out pesky enemies.
Leon’s Weapons and Modules: Hidden Locations
Although Leon can purchase gear from his unique crate, there are three exclusive weapons and a couple of extremely useful modules hidden throughout the game world that are very easy to miss.
1. MSBG 500 Shotgun

- Where to find it: In the Attic, next to the Chunk monster.
- Description: When Leon escapes from Victor Gideon, he ends up in the Attic and finds Chunk devouring a victim. It was this victim who dropped the MSBG 500 shotgun. You can sneak up quietly and grab the weapon before the monster reacts, or snatch it while maneuvering around the arena. The shotgun is absolutely essential for the first fight with this boss!
2. Alligator Snapper Gun Compensator (Module)

- Where to find it: Warped Closet, right after the arena with Chunk.
- Description: After defeating Chunk, Leon will go through a locked door. Immediately to your right, you will see the Warped Closet. Inside lies the only optional weapon attachment (not counting keychains)—a compensator for Leon’s starter pistol (Alligator Snapper). It significantly reduces recoil when firing.
3. Gal SMG submachine gun

- Where to find it: Cedarbrook Apartments Underground Parking Garage.
- Description: A great alternative to buying a submachine gun in a crate. It has an incredible rate of fire. You’ll find it while searching for the two batteries needed to open the large garage door. It’s in the same room as the first battery. Be careful—it’s very easy to run right past it!
4. Marksman 1A Sniper Rifle

- Where to find it: BSAA Container 03 in Raccoon City.
- Description: To open the container, you will first need a BSAA Container Key. This semi-automatic sniper rifle deals slightly less damage than its bolt-action counterpart, but more than makes up for it with its rate of fire and high accuracy.
5. Silver Finish Rifle Scope for the Classic 70 (Module)

- Where to find it: RPD Parking Garage, inside the container at the back.
- Description: You can only get here after encountering the Tyrant inside the station by entering from the back yard. Attach this scope to the Classic 70 sniper rifle to gain massive zoom and take out enemies from a safe distance.
6. W870 Police Shotgun

- Where to find it: Gun Shop Kendo, on the shelf after the flashback cutscene.
- Description: Objectively the best shotgun in Resident Evil 9 Requiem. It has massive base damage, and upgrading it makes its rate of fire and reload speed simply excellent. It’s especially good when paired with the Cute Bear Weapon Charm, which can be found nearby.
