You don’t need to defeat difficult bosses to obtain this sword—it’s hidden in the open world, and with the right skills, you’ll be able to pick it up without any trouble.

The exact location of the Darkbringer sword

This powerful long sword is the perfect choice for quickly dispatching early bosses and crowds of enemies. To obtain it, you’ll need to head to the Silver Mountains.

It’s a long journey ahead. To make sure you don’t get lost, follow this step-by-step guide:

  1. Open the map: Find the town of Hernand and scroll the map far to the north.
  2. Mark the map: Even if you haven’t explored these lands yet, locate “Five-Finger Mountain” and “Silver Mountains” on the map. Your destination lies between them.
  3. Find a landmark: You need to find Whisperleaf Fortress—it’s a key point of interest (POI) in this region.
  4. Head to the Nexus: From the Fortress, head north-northwest until the “Mysterious Energy” icon appears on the map. It will lead you to the fast-travel point—the Abyss Nexus.
  5. Pick up the sword: From the Abyss Nexus, climb the hill to the west. You will find yourself in the White Wastes Sanctuary.

Location Secret: The sanctuary is easily recognizable by the giant skeleton half-buried in the hillside. The Darkbringer sword will be lying right between its teeth.

Darkbringer is considered a unique (legendary) weapon not only because of its stunning appearance, but also thanks to its built-in Abyss Gear, which cannot be found anywhere else.

In Crimson Desert, Abyss Gears are modifiers that are inserted into weapons and grant Cliff special abilities in combat. Darkbringer is equipped with Ator’s Orb.

Ator’s Sphere Effect: When you use an attack that consumes stamina (RT / R2 button), the sword summons magical spheres after a brief delay. They automatically target the nearest enemies and deal additional damage to them.
