Crimson Desert Bared Fang Guide: How to Eavesdrop and Find the Secret Base

The Bared Fang quest in Beighen is notorious for its lack of instructions. To make contact with the secretive Blue Fangs organization, you must master the eavesdropping mechanic and use gathered intelligence to interrogate a specific guard.

Here is the step-by-step breakdown of how to infiltrate the secret society.

Phase 1: The Barn Eavesdrop

Your first objective is to listen in on NPCs near the Beighen waterfront.

• Location: A small barn/hut near the water.
• The Spot: Go to the back of the hut. You must stand against the middle wooden panel.
• The Action: Wiggle Kliff until the prompt to “Lean” appears. Once leaning, you will automatically begin listening.

Phase 2: Interrogating the Guard (Part 1)

Head to the Main Hall and find the guard standing near the entrance.

1. Select the topic: “The Truth of the Underground Storage.”
2. The guard will lie and say it’s a simple larder.
3. Call out the lie: Press A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation).
4. Choose the response: “Secret Society’s Base.”
5. Follow up with the second available option to gather more intel, then exit the conversation.

Phase 3: The Log Eavesdrop

Next, you need to find two more NPCs chatting near a house.

• Location: Look for a house with a large log lying on the ground next to the wall.
• Pro-Tip: Sometimes the log blocks the interaction prompt. Use Nature’s Grasp to move the log slightly, making it easier to trigger the “Lean” action against the wall.

Phase 4: Interrogating the Guard (Part 2)

Return to the same Blue Fangs guard.

1. Choose: “Mysterious Faction Within Beighen.”
2. Call out the lie and choose the response: “Blue Fangs.”
3. Select the new topic: “Leader of the Blue Fangs” to get your next clue.

Phase 5: The Wall Hole Eavesdrop

Follow the new quest marker to a building where two women are talking inside.

• Location: Head to the South side of the building.
• The Spot: Look for a small hole in the wall. Stand in the corner against the wall, right next to the wooden crates, to lean and listen.

Phase 6: Final Confrontation & Access

Return to the guard one last time to finalize your investigation.

1. Select: “Leader of the Blue Fangs” again.
2. Call out the lie when he claims not to know the leader.
3. Choose the name: “Torstein.”

Result: The guard will finally stand aside, granting you permanent access to the Blue Fangs’ underground base.
