The world of Pywel is breathtakingly massive, and while your horse is a loyal companion, trekking across entire continents can be a daunting task. To save time and focus on the action, you’ll need to master the Fast Travel system.

Unlike many open-world RPGs, unlocking travel points in Crimson Desert isn’t automatic. Here is everything you need to know to navigate the map like a pro.

How to Fast Travel in Crimson Desert

To initiate a teleport, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open your Map (ensure you are not in active combat).
  2. Navigate to the “All” tab to see every objective and POI (Point of Interest).
  3. Locate an Abyss Cresset or Abyss Nexus icon.
  4. Select the icon to travel instantly.

Note: Fast travel is only available to points you have manually activated. Simply discovering a town or region will not unlock the ability to teleport there.

Locating “Mysterious Energy”

As you explore Pywel, keep a close eye on your compass and map. When you see a notification for “Mysterious Energy,” it means a fast travel point is nearby. These points fall into two distinct categories:

1. Abyss Nexuses (The Easy Way)

The Abyss Nexus is the most straightforward way to get around.

  • Appearance: These look like simple stone altars or circles on the ground.
  • How to Activate: Have Kliff stand in the center of the stone circle.
  • The Signal: Once the circle glows a bright Abyss Blue, the point is permanently active. You can now warp to this location from anywhere on the map.

2. Abyss Cressets (The Challenge)

Abyss Cressets are more than just teleportation nodes—they are rewarding milestones.

  • Location: Typically hidden within Ancient Ruins.
  • The Process: To activate a Cresset, you must solve a localized environmental puzzle or defeat specific guardians.
  • The Rewards: Activating a Cresset doesn’t just grant fast travel; they often contain essential upgrade items for Kliff.

Pro-Tips for Efficient Exploration

  • Prioritize the “Blue”: If you see a blue glow in the distance while traveling, veer off-path to activate it immediately. It will save you 20+ minutes of riding later.
  • Puzzle Readiness: Before entering Ancient Ruins for a Cresset, ensure your gear is repaired, as some puzzles lead into combat encounters.
  • Stamina Management: While fast travel is great, remember that your horse’s level increases through use. Balance your teleports with manual riding to keep your mount in top shape.
